Album Club – 5th April 2010 »

Yo all,

Firstly, sorry for the delay in announcing this one. I’ve been on holiday and it was my choice this week.

I have opted for quite a seminal album from my adolescence: The Decline of British Sea Power by British Sea Power (unsurprisingly).

The Spotify link is here. Read on →

Album Club – 15th March 2010 »

Here at Golden Hours, Monday means Album Club – each week, we take it in turns to recommend an album which has influenced us, is important to us, or one that we simply enjoy listening to. It’s like a book club, but with albums. This week it’s my choice: Friend Opportunity by Deerhoof. Read on →

Album Club – 8th March 2010 »

This week is a slightly quirky one suggested by guitarist, Sam.

It is Berkshire/Hampshire based Prog Rockers Tantalus’ album Lumen et Caligo 1. You may not have heard of Tantalus before, but they are a Prog band in every sense of the word, with band leader Max Hunt also performing with the UK’s number 1 YES tribute band!

Slightly tougher to get hold of this album, but it is available here. It might be worth emailing the band to request the album asap in order to give it a listen before the week is out… Be warned, this Prog is not for the feint-hearted!
